2nd National overall winner Eendaagse Fondspiegel 2006
By the speed of light Johan van de Kimmenade and his nephew Dirk Verbakel rushed to the top op pigeon racing. First since 2000 the duo combined its forces in partnership. And the first two years did not went well at all; but than they were through playing second fiddle. Johan explains: "I am a very fanatical individual and something had to change. Our main goal was excelling in one distance racing. But because we want to enter pigeons every week, we started a quest for all-rounders, pigeons that can race top from 100 up to 700 km.”
Now, six years later, the efforts of the tandem resulted in the second place in category 8 in 2005 and the first place in category 7 in 2006.
Measured over two years, the partnership is the 2nd best racing loft of the entire country!! How they build up such a strong foundation of pigeons in such a short period, will be explained in this loft report.
